Stipulates that whoever uses or carries a firearm or other dangerous weapon in the commission of a felony shall, in addition to the punishment provided for such felony, be sentenced to a term of imprisonment for not less than two years or more than 25 years. Specifies increased penalties for enumerated violent crimes, including aggravated assault, second degree murder, rape, robbery, and burglary. Imposes the death penalty on whoever kills a person in the commission of a bank robbery.
Prohibits the suspension, probation, or parole of such sentences. Subjects repeat offenders, in addition to the punishment provided for the offense committed, to a term of imprisonment of not less than two years which may be up to the maximum provided for such offense.
