Extends the protection of the Executive Protective Service to foreign diplomatic missions located outside the District of Columbia in metropolitan areas where there are 20 or more such missions headed by full-time career officers.
Increases the maximum number of Executive Protective Service officers from 850 to 1,200.
Allows the Secretary of the Treasury to utilize the services, personnel, equipment and facilities of state and local governments to carry out the functions of the Executive Protective Service and to reimburse such governments. Authorizes appropriations of not more than $3,500,000 for reimbursement purposes for any fiscal year.
