Teacher Corps Amendments

Teacher Corps Amendments - Extends, under the Higher Education Act, the authorization for the Teacher Corps for six additional years, through fiscal year 1982. Increases the authorized appropriations from the current level of $37,500,000 for fiscal year 1976 to $50,000,000 for fiscal year 1977. Authorizes the appropriation of such sums as may be necessary for fiscal years 1978 through 1982.

Permits participation of personnel other than classroom teaching staff, and allows Teacher Corps projects to include retraining activities. Authorizes enrollment of Teacher Corps members for periods of up to five years.
