A bill to amend title 5, United States Code, to permit military service performed by an individual after 1956 to be credited under the civil service retirement program, even though such individual is eligible for social security benefits, but requiring the civil service annuity to be offset by the amount of his social security benefit that is attributable to his military service.

Authorizes military service performed by an individual after 1956 to be credited under the civil service retirement program, even though such individual is eligible for social security benefits. Stipulates that the civil service annunity so authorized be offset by the amount of the individual's social security benefit that is attributable to his military service. (Amends 5 U.S.C. 8332 (j)).
