Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to construct, operate and maintain the Pollock-Herreid unit, South Dakota pumping division, Pick-Sloan Missouri Basin program, South Dakota.
Prohibits the use of water from the unit authorized by this Act to irrigate lands for the production of specified agricultural commodities for a period of ten years.
Provides, under Federal reclamation laws, that lands held in a single ownership which may be eligible to receive water from, through, or by means of unit works shall be limited to 160 acres of class I land or the equivalent in other land classes.
Authorizes appropriation of $26,000,000 for construction of the Pollock-Herried unit.
