Requires Members of Congress, Congressional employees, and candidates for Congress to file annually with the Comptroller General a report containing a full and complete statement of the sources of income and gifts, the value of each asset held, any business transaction which exceeds $5,000, and the amount of local, State and Federal taxes paid.
States that such reports shall be maintained as public records.
Provides for a criminal penalty of a fine of $2,000 or imprisonment for not more than five years, or both, for violations of the provisions of this Act.
