A bill to insure that Federal buildings and certain buildings assisted with Federal funds employ the best practicable energy conservation and management practices.
Federal Facilites Energy Conservation and Utilization Act - Sets forth Congressional findings and purposes, and defines the terms used in this Act.
Directs the Administrator of General Services, in consultation with specified Federal departments and agencies, to publish energy conservation guidelines for use in the construction and operation of Federal and federally-assisted buildings.
Directs each Federal agency having authority over the construction or renovation of a Federal or federally-assisted building to require the preparation of an energy-economic analysis for such building.
Authorizes $7,500,000 to be appropriated to carry out the purposes of this Act.
