Provides that any person charged with an offense involving the use of a firearm in the commission of that offense, or involving the unlawful carrying of a firearm during the commission of that offense, shall be treated in accordance with the provisions of the Bail Reform Act of 1966 unless the court or judge has reason to believe that no one or more conditions of release will reasonably assure that such person will not pose a danger to any other person or to the community. Provides that if such a risk of failure to appear or of danger is believed to exist, the person may be ordered detained.
