A bill to make the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands eligible to participate in certain Federal fisheries programs, and for other purposes.
Makes the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands eligible, under the Commercial Fisheries Research and Development Act, to participate in Federal programs designed for research and development of the commercial fisheries resources of the United States.
Requires unused funds allocated pursuant to such programs to remain available for the use of other States. Allows States receiving six percent of the funds initially apportioned to use funds voluntarily released by other States. Authorizes advance payments to States on approved projects.
