A bill to repeal certain provisions of law allowing prospecting and mining within important components of the National Park System, to prohibit prospecting and mining activities within such areas.

Repeals the provisions of law allowing prospecting and mining activities within specified national parks and national and international monuments of the National Park System. Prohibits all prospecting and mining activities in such areas.

Provides for the compensation of parties who lose rights or interests in prospecting or mining activities as a result of this Act.

Authorizes to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary for the purpose of payment of compensation as provided for in this Act.
