A bill to carry out a coordinated agricultural energy research program through the State agricultural experiment stations.
Agricultural Energy Research Act - Establishes within the Cooperative State Research Service of the Department of Agriculture the Office of Agriculture Energy Research. Directs the Secretary of Agriculture to appoint a Director of Agricultural Energy Research.
Designates the function of the Office to carry out a research program designed to increase agricultural and rural energy efficiency by implementing alternative energy source pilot projects and by refining alternative energy developments to specific agricultural and rural uses.
Authorizes to be appropriated $5,000,000 for fiscal year 1976, and $10,000,000 for fiscal year 1977.
Requires the Director to allocate appropriated funds on a fair and equitable basis among State agricultural experiment stations.
