Humane Methods of Slaughter Act - Makes it unlawful for any person engaged in the slaughter of livestock and whose slaughtering establishment is inspected by Federal inspectors under the Federal Meat Inspection Act to use any method of slaughtering other than humane methods.
States that a person violating the provisions of this Act shall be fined $1,000 for each such violation.
Prohibits imports of carcass and meat products into the United States unless the livestock from which it was produced was slaughtered by humane methods.
