Nuclear Fuel Assurance Act

Nuclear Fuel Assurance Act - Authorizes the Administrator of Energy Research and Development to enter into cooperative arrangements with private industry for the enrichment of uranium to make fuel for nuclear power plants.

Enumerates the cooperative arrangements authorized by this Act.

Establishes procedures for the Congressional review and approval of any proposed contract for a cooperative arrangement for private participation in uranium enrichment.

Authorizes the Administrator to enter into contracts which the Congress has approved in an amount not to exceed $8,000,000,000 or the amount provided for in prior appropriation Acts.

Directs the Administrator of Energy Research and Development to initiate engineering design and planning, construction and operation activities for expansion of a Government-owned uranium enrichment facility. Authorizes to be appropriated for this purpose $255,000,000.

Requires specified officers or employees of the Administrator to annually file with the Administrator a written statement reporting all interests held by such officer or employee during the preceding calendar year.

Prohibits the employment of specified former officers or employees of the Energy Research and Development Administration within two years of the termination of employment by any person, corporation, or other entity that has entered into a cooperation arrangement with the Administration.
