Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to construct, operate, and maintain permanent conveyance facilities for the principal purpose of delivering a municipal and industrial water supply for the city of Yuma, Arizona.
Requires that project costs be repayable to the United States in not more than 40 years.
Authorizes the Secretary to enter into the necessary contracts to carry out the purpose of this Act. Directs that upon completion of the project the Secretary shall transfer control to the city of Yuma.
Specifies that this Act does not increase the city of Yuma's water rights for entitlement to Colorado River water.
Authorizes the Secretary to locate the pipeline conveyance system and appurtenances or lands within the exterior boundaries of the Fort Yuma Indian Reservation.
Authorizes the appropriation of $4,323,000 (January 1975 prices) to carry out the provisions of this Act.
