Public Safety Emergency Aid Act - Authorizes appropriations of $250,000,000 for each of fiscal years 1976 and 1977 to the Secretary of Labor for financial assistance under the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act of 1973 to units of general local government to enable them to maintain adequate levels of public safety officers in time of severe financial hardship.
Provides a formula for allotment of such funds based on the number of public safety officers laid off since October 15, 1974, by population of the applicant.
