Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to establish national parks of at least 500 acres in those States which presently do not have a national park. Provides that each park established under this Act shall contain picnic and playground areas, an outdoor stage, sports facilities, bicycle paths and nature walks. Stipulates that such parks shall be administered by the Secretary through the National Park Service. Directs each park established by this Act to be opened in time for the bicentennial celebration, July 4, 1976.
Authorizes the appropriation of such funds as are necessary to carry out the purposes of this Act.
