Provides, under the Social Security Act, for the establishment of an Inspector General for health administration.
Authorizes the Inspector General to suspend any regulation, practice, or procedure found not to be in compliance with the provisions or purposes of the Medicare or Medicaid programs.
Authorizes the Inspector General to make confidential expenditures of up to $50,000 in any fiscal year to make inspections, audit, or reviews in furtherance of the purposes of this Act.
