Prescribes penalties for the use of firearms in the commission, and carrying firearms during the commission, of any felony with respect to which United States courts have exclusive and original jurisdiction.
Prescribes penalties for the use of carrying of any firearm transported in interstate or foreign commerce in the commission of any crime punishable by imprisonment for more than one year upon conviction in a State court.
Provides a sentence, in addition to the punishment set forth for the commission of such felony or crime, of a term of five to ten years imprisonment. States that in case of a second or subsequent conviction, such person shall be sentenced to imprisonment for a term of not less than ten years, or to life imprisonment. (Amends 18 U.SC. 924(c))
