Permits the payment of benefits to a married couple based on their combined average monthly wage as computed under title II of the Social Security Act (relating to Old-Age, Survivors and Disability Insurance) multiplied by a factor of 75 percent.
Eliminates the special dependency requirement for entitlement to husband's or widower's benefits under title II of the Social Security Act.
Provides for the payment of benefits to widowed fathers with minor children, and makes the retirement test inapplicable to individuals with minor children who are entitled to mother's or father's benefits.
