Requires the annual disclosure of a personal financial statement, to include that of members of the immediate family, by members of the legislative, executive and judicial branches of the Government who are compensated at a rate in excess of $18,000 per year, as well as by candidates for Federal offices.
Provides that each report required by this Act shall be made under penalty of perjury, and sets penalties of a $10,000 fine or imprisonment for not more than five years, or both, for violations.
Provides that reports filed under this Act will be maintained by the Comptroller General as public records and shall be available for inspection to the public.
