A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 to exclude from gross income the interest on deposits in banks and certain other savings institutions.

Excludes from gross income under the Internal Revenue Code the first $800 of interest ($1,600 in the case of married individuals filing a joint return) on deposits in banks and savings institutions.
