A bill to secure the civil rights of blind persons.
Civil Rights of the Blind Act - Prohibits the denial of public transportation, public accomodation or private housing because of a person's blindness or use of a dog guide or other guidance instrumentality. Prohibits the requirement of special fees to be paid by the blind for special services and accomodations. Provides a civil remedy for violation of this Act and permits such suits to be brought in a United States district court without regard to the amount in controversy or the diversity of citizenship of the parties. Defines the terms used in this Act.
