Authorizes and directs the Secretary of Transportation to make grants of up to $18,000,000 to the Bi-State Development Agency of Illinois and Missouri for the planning, purchase and restoration of bridges which cross the Mississippi River and are located within the St. Louis, Missouri, metropolitan.
Stipulates that the Federal share of such projects shall be 100 percent of their cost.
Authorizes appropriations not to exceed $6,000,000 for each of the fiscal years 1977 through 1979 to carry out the purposes of this Act.
