A bill to amend the Emergency School Aid Act to provide innovative desegregation programs and procedures.
Authorizes Federal financial assistance under the Emergency School Aid Act for programs and projects for: (1) construction and operation of "magnet" schools; (2) the pairing of schools and programs with specific colleges and universities and with leading businesses; (3) the development of plans for and construction of "neutral site" schools; (4) the construction and development of education parks; and (5) education programs designed to improve the quality of education in inner city schools and the general use of education magnetism.
Authorizes appropriations of $250,000,000 for the period beginning on July 1, 1976 and ending September 30, 1976 and $1,000,000,000 for each of the fiscal years 19777 and 1978 to carry out the provisions of the Emergency School Aid Act.
