A bill to establish National Historic Trails as a new category of trails within the National Trails System, to include the Iditarod Trail, Alaska, in the National Trails System as a National Historic Trail.

Establishes National Historic Trails as a category of trails within the National Trails System.

Declares that any trail which: (1) was established by historic use and is historically significant as a result of that use; (2) has had a far-reaching effect on broad patterns of American culture; and (3) has significant potential for public recreational use, may be designated a National Historic Trail.

Designates the Iditarod Trail, Alaska, as a National Historic Trail.
