A bill to amend the Export Administration Act of 1969 to establish a program for gathering and analyzing information with respect to multinational enterprises, and to require publication of such material on a regular basis.
Multinational Business Enterprise Information Act - Directs the Secretary of Commerce to establish a program to gather information on the investments, sales, employment, research funds, and branch and affiliate location of multinational business enterprises whose aggregate assets exceed $50,000,000. Requires that such information cover the two years preceding the date of submission. Defines "multinational business enterprise" and "United States business enterprise" under this Act.
Directs the Secretary: (1) to publish such information, and statistical data derived from such information; and (2) to make such information available to the Adjustment Assistance Coordinating Committee, the International Trade Commission, and any committee of the House of Representatives or the Senate.
Authorizes the Secretary to prescribe rules and regulations to carry out the purposes of this Act.
Imposes a fine of $10,000 for failure to furnish information required under this Act. Permits the Secretary to bring a civil action under this Act seeking a mandatory injunction to command compliance with this Act. Imposes a fine of $10,000 or not more than one year imprisonment or both for willful violation of this Act.
