Directs the Secretary of the Interior to select an appropriate site for the erection of a statue of Bernardo de Galvez, a gift of the Government of Spain in recognition of the Bicentennial celebrations of the United States of America and as a token of the friendship that exists between the people of Spain and people of the United States. Specifies that the statue shall be erected on grounds now owned by the United States of America in the District of Columbia. Requires approval of the Secretary of the Interior, the Commission of Fine Arts and the National Capital Planning Commission for the site selection and design of the statue.
Provides that the erection of the statue and proper landscape treatment shall be without expense to the United States of America, except for necessary maintenance after completion.
