Federal Power Commission Public Participants Assistance Act

Federal Power Commission Public Participants Assistance Act - Amends the Federal Power Act to establish an Office of Public Participation in the Federal Power Commission in order: (1) to administer a program of reimbursement for costs incurred in Commission proceedings by qualified public participants; and (2) to advise and assist the public in order to insure full and adequate participation by all segments of the public in Commission proceedings.

Establishes procedures and criteria for determination of eligibility of participants for assistance under this Act.

Authorizes the appropriation of $2,000,000 for fiscal year 1977, and such sums as may be necessary in succeeding fiscal years, for the reimbursement program established by this Act. Authorizes the appropriation of such sums as may be necessary for the administrative costs of maintaining the Office of Public Participation.
