A bill to amend chapter 44 of title 18 of the United States Code (respecting firearms) to penalize the use of firearms in the commission of any felony and to increase the penalties in certain related existing provisions.

Requires that whoever uses or carries a firearm during the commission of a felony that may be prosecuted in a Federal court and that whoever is convicted by a State court of using or carrying a firearm transported in, or affecting, interstate or foreign commerce during the commission of a felony be sentenced to a term of imprisonment of not less than five nor more than ten years. Requires in the case of a subsequent such conviction that the felon be sentenced to a term of imprisonment for any term of years, but not less than ten years, or to life imprisonment.
