Domestic Volunteer Service Act Amendments

Domestic Volunteer Service Act Amendments - Amends the Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973 to authorize the Director of the ACTION Agency to provide technical assistance and financial support to Federal and State agencies and private organizations engaged in public service volunteer programs.

Authorizes the Director to establish, under such Act, Business Volunteer Programs in which persons with business experience may volunteer to utilize their skills in the solution of human, social, and environmental problems. Sets forth the scope of the Director's authority in establishing such Program.

Eliminates the National Voluntary Service Advisory Council.

Authorizes the appropriation of such sums as may be necessary for the National Volunteer Antipoverty Programs in specified amounts for fiscal years 1977 through 1979. Authorizes the appropriation of such sums as may be necessary for the National Older Americans Volunteer Programs for fiscal year 1979.

Authorizes the appropriation for fiscal years 1977 through 1979 of such funds as may be necessary for carrying out the National Volunteer Programs to assist small business and promote volunteer service by persons with business experience.

Authorizes the appropriation, through fiscal year 1979, of such funds as may be necessary for the administration of the programs established pursuant to the National Domestic Volunteer Act of 1973.
