A bill to amend section 2 of the act of June 30, 1954, providing for the continuance of civil government for the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands.
Authorizes additional appropriations for the continuance of the civil government for the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands. Authorizes appropriation of $8,000,000 for construction of a four-year college to serve the Micronesian community, of which no appropriations shall be made until after the President studies such matter and reports thereon to the Committees on Interior and Insular Affairs of the Senate and House of Representatives, which may disapprove such appropriation.
Makes applicable to Guam those laws which provide Federal services and financial assistance programs; the Federal banking laws; and the Public Health Service Act.
