A bill to amend the Federal Power Act to provide that public hearings shall be held prior to the Federal Power Commission granting rate increases for the interstate sale of electricity.

Amends the Federal Power Act to require that rate increases for the interstate sale of electricity may not be granted until public hearings on such increases have been completed by the Federal Power Commission.

Requires 30 days' notice of all rate changes by a public utility to the Federal Power Commission and to the public.
