Extends for three fiscal years the Comprehensive Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism Prevention, Treatment, and Rehabilitation Act. Authorizes the appropriation of $20,000,000 for the period beginning July 1, 1976, and ending September 30, 1976, $80,000,000 for fiscal year 1977, $80,000,000 for fiscal year 1978, and $80,000,000 for fiscal year 1979 for the programs of assistance under such Act.
Provides funds to assist the States in planning, coordinating and evaluating projects to deal with alcohol abuse and alcoholism. Authorizes the appropriation of $3,250,000 for the period beginning July 1, 1976, and ending September 30, 1976, $13,000,000 for fiscal year 1977, $13,000,000 for fiscal year 1978, and $13,000,000 for fiscal year 1979.
Makes grants to the States for the purpose of constructing facilities for alcoholic rehabilitation. Authorizes the appropriation of $23,750,000 for the period beginning July 1, 1976, and ending September 30, 1976, $95,000,000 for fiscal year 1977, $95,000,000 for fiscal year 1978, and $95,000,000 for fiscal year 1979.
