A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1954 to exclude from gross income the interest on deposits in certain savings institutions.

Authorizes, under the Internal Revenue Code, an exclusion from gross income of up to $500 for the interest on deposits in savings institutions chartered under Federal law, and banks and credit unions the deposits or accounts in which are chartered under State law.
