A bill to provide Federal revenue assistance to local governments by extending Federal revenue sharing for local governmental units for 5 3/4 additional years, with specific concentration of assistance to cities of 500,000 population or more, and for other purposes.
Local Revenue Assistance Act - Extends Federal revenue sharing for local governmental units for five and three-quarters additional years.
Prescribes a formula to increase the allocation of funds to cities with a population of 500,000 or more.
Prohibits local governments from using funds obtained under this Act as a contribution for the purpose of obtaining Federal funds under any law of the United States which requires matching fund payments.
