Authorizes the President to call a White House Conference on Long-Term Care in 1976. Directs the Conference to consider methods to : (1) make long-term health care available to those who need it; (2) provide alternatives to nursing home placement; (3) improve the quality of care offered in long-term care facilities; (4) provide for appropriate training of personel; and (5) finance the necessary benefits structure to make long-term care a right of all Americans.
Requires that the Conference submit a final report to the President not later than one hundred and twenty days following the date on which the Conference is called.
Authorizes the Secretary of Health Education, and Welfare to establish an Advisory Committee to the Conference composed of not more than twenty-eight professionals and public members.
Authorizes the appropriation of $500,000 to carry out the provisions of this joint resolution.
