Constitutional Amendment - States that each judge of the Supreme Court and of the inferior courts shall hold office during good behavior for a term of ten years and may be reappointed for a second term of ten years by the President with the consent of Congress.
Provides for compensation of judges during their continuance in office, and for a stipend upon ceasing to hold office.
Directs that the term of judges presently serving on the Supreme Court and the inferior courts shall expire December 31, 1983, or ten years after the date such judge took office, whichever date is later.
