Expresses the sense of the Senate that the Monday of Thanksgiving Week, November 24, 1975, be recognized as a National Day of Fasting and that the people of the United States be encouraged to reevaluate their life styles and during the coming year seek to change their habits from those of overconsumption to those of conservation in light of world hunger. Expresses the sense of the Senate that beginning with Thanksgiving Day, 1974, and ending with Thanksgiving Day, 1975, this Nation embark upon a spirit of identification with the hungry people of the world, with self sacrifice, and with sharing through the practice of fasting.
