Authorizes the Committee on Commerce, or any duly authorized subcommittee thereof, to make a full and complete study and investigation with respect to the economics, production, and supply problems of the newsprint manufacturing industry in the United States, the problems relating to the importation of newsprint, and the effect of these problems on the publication of newspapers in the United States.
Requires the Committee to report to the Senate at the earliest practicable date, during the first session of the 93rd Congress, the results of its study and investigation, together with such recommendations as it considers appropriate.
