Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior to inscribe the names of Alaska and Hawaii on the walls of the Lincoln Memorial with the names of the other forty-eight states in a manner and style consistent with the other states.
Makes the authorization of the Secretary contingent on approval of the design and plans for the inscription by the National Capital Planning Commission, the Commission of Fine Arts, and by the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation.
Authorizes an appropriation, not to exceed $12,000, to cover the cost of design development and implementation.
