A bill to amend the Education of the Handicapped Act.
Education of the Handicapped Amendments - Provides for additional positions in the Bureau for the Education and Training of the Handicapped. Authorizes appropriations under the Education of the Handicapped Act for fiscal years 1974, 1975 and 1976 for: (1) grants to the States, (2) specified centers and services, (3) personnel training, (4) research, (5) instructional media, and (6) specific learning disabilities.
Requires each State to set forth a plan of the procedures it will use to identify, locate, and evaluate every handicapped child in that State; to submit that plan to the Commissioner of Education for approval by December 31, 1974; and to establish policies and procedures to protect the confidentiality of data and information collected by the State.
