A bill to amend the act of June 30, 1944, an act "To provide for the establishment of the Harpers Ferry National Monument".
Authorizes the Secretary of the Interior, for the purpose of the development of the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, to acquire lands or interests in lands by donation, purchase with donated or appropriated funds, or exchange within the boundaries of the map specified in this Act. Provides that the total acreage of the park shall not exceed 2000 acres.
Authorizes the Secretary to provide, directly or by contract, an interpretive shuttle transportation service within, between, and among lands acquired for the purpose of such Park. Authorizes to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary to provide for the development of the park, but not to exceed $1,300,000 for land acquisition. Amends 16 U.S.C. 450bb; 450bb-2; 450bb-6
