A bill to amend section 232 of the National Housing Act to authorize insured loans to provide fire safety equipment for nursing homes.
Authorizes the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to insure loans made by financial institutions to nursing homes and intermediate care facilities to provide fire safety equipment.
Requires that such loans shall not exceed the Secretary's estimate of the reasonable cost of the equipment fully installed, and shall comply with interest and maturity rates and such other conditions as the Secretary may prescribe.
