A bill to amend the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, to revise the method of providing for public remuneration in the event of a nuclear incident, and for other purposes.

Revises, under the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, the method of providing for public remuneration, and the classes of persons eligible for such remuneration, in the event of a nuclear incident.

Extends the exemption from the financial protection requirements and indemnification requirements for nonprofit, educational institutions until August 1, 1987.
