A bill to amend title 13, United States Code, to provide certain limitations with respect to the types and number of questions which may be asked in connection with the decennial census of population, unemployment, and housing.

Limits information sought in connection with the decennial census of population, unemployment, and housing to that which can be obtained of the individual by the following questions: (1) name and address; (2) relationship to head of household; (3) sex; (4) date and place of birth; (5) race; (6) marital status; (7) educational attainment; (8) number of rooms in house or other living quarters; (9) number of family units in house or other living quarters; and (10) employment status and type of employment.

Provides that additional information may be obtained and additional questions may be asked if the Secretary of Commerce submits to the respective Committees on Post Office and Civil Service of the Senate and House of Representatives a list of such additional questions together with the forms of questionnaires containing the questions, and such forms and questions are then approved by the resolutions of both committees.
