A bill to provide for the storage of food commodities in geographically dispersed areas of the United States for use during any major disaster in the United States.
National Food Bank Act - Authorizes the Secretary of Agriculture to provide for the storage of food commodities in geographically dispersed areas of the United States so that such commodities will be readily available for distribution in any area which suffers a major disaster.
Authorizes the Secretary to take such action as he deems necessary to maintain fresh, nutritious supplies of food commodities and to provide for the periodic turnover of such commodities to avoid spoilage.
