A bill to amend the Economic Stabilization Act of 1970 to provide effective consumer remedies for retail price violations.
Price Controls and Consumer Redress Act - Provides, under the Economic Stabilization Act, that to the maximum extent practicable, specific retail price ceilings shall be established for every product or service sold at retail and subject to price controls. Provides a reward equal to 25 percent of any fine or penalty to citizens who initiate valid conplaints against illegal price increases.
