A bill to further amend the Mineral Leasing Act of February 25, 1920, to provide for the extension of certain leases.

Extends all oil and gas leases issued by the authority of the Secretary of the Interior and in effect on April 1, 1970, which cover any lands situated north of the sixty-eighth parallel in the State of Alaska, from the termination dates of the primary terms thereof for a period of time equal to the period from April 1, 1970, to the date of the first crude oil or natural gas deliveries into a major pipeline from any oil and gas leases lying north of the sixty-eighth parallel; provided, that such extension shall not be in excess of the period of the original leases.

Authorizes the Secretary to extend this period of additional time if necessary in his judgment to alleviate hardships to the owners of said leases. (Amends 30 U.S.C. 209)
