Establishes in Congress the Joint Committee on National Security, composed of 25 members of Congress, including the Speaker, majority and minority leaders in both Houses, the chairmen and ranking minority members of the House and Senate Appropriations and Armed Services Committees, Senate Foreign Relations, House Foreign Affairs and the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy, plus 3 members each from the House and Senate.
Provides that the joint committee shall have the following functions: (1) to make a continuing study of U.S. foreign, domestic and military policies and the integration thereof; (2) to study the activites of the National Security Council; and (3) to study document classification procedures.
Requires an annual report to both Houses on its activities.
