A bill to amend the National Labor Relations Act to require a vote by employees who are on strike.
Employee Strike Vote Act - Provides that it shall be unlawful and an unfair labor practice for a labor organization or its agents to call, continue or resume a strike if a majority of the employees have voted in a secret ballot referendum to accept the employer's current offer or if such a referendum has been requested before the strike begins and the result thereof has not been accepted.
Provides that such a referendum may be requested by the involved labor organization and the employer or 10 percent of the members of such bargaining unit. Requires that no such referendum may be held until at least thirty days have elasped following any prior referendum. (Adds 29 U.S.C. 158(b)(8))
